BAMENDA III COUNCIL EMBARKS ON DEVELOPMENT  BY MILDRED NDUM WUNG KUM In a brainstorming spree, councillors prioritized projects to move the growth of Bamenda III municipality. Roads, bridges and extension of water and electricity are earmarked for accomplishment in the development plans. WOUNDED SOLDIERS RECEIVE TOKEN OF SOLIDARITY BY MILDRED NDUM WUNG KUM Members of the Cameroon Defense Force recovering from bullet wounds in Bamenda received a token of fifty thousand francs each.  The commander of the fifth joined military Region in Bamenda, General Nkar Valere handed them the money on instruction from the  Minister Delegate at the presidency in charge of defense Martin Mbarga Ngele.  The mission was intended to give hope to hospitalised soldiers especially at the time the country is battling with the coronavirus pandemic. Close to thirty patients at the Police Medical Center GMI and the 5th military Hospital - Up Station benefitted from the package. COVID-19: RuWCED TAKES PROACTIVE STEPS IN NGOKETUNJIA  BY MILDRED NDUM WUNG KUM The Rural Women Center for Education and Development RuWCED, in its capacity to empower communities in the thirteen villages of Ngoketunjia Division, Northwest Region Cameroon invited community leaders and nurses for empowerment on managing and preventing COVID-19. Prompted by the rapid spread of coronavirus in the country and the urgency to bar it from Ngoketunjia, the women based NGO devoted extra attention on women with regards to the virus. The meeting took place at the Ndop District Hospital April 11 2020.   COVID-19 DEFENCE: BAMENDA II MAYOR BONDS WITH QUARTER HEADS BY MILDRED NDUM WUNG KUM Mayor Chenwi Peter was acting in a move to build a wall against coronavirus in his sub divisional council area. With full knowledge on the current law of Decentralisation in Cameroon, he rallied quarter heads from various villages that make up Bamenda two Sub Divisional Council, handed them sanitary items including buckets, soaps, and toilet rolls . The ceremony took place at the Epic Event Center, Bamenda April 9 2020. The mayor noted that the presence of 116 quarter heads from the four villages Mbatu , Mankon, Chomba and Snogwa that make up the council was encouraging. Before handing them items to help prevent COVID-19, quarter heads were cautioned on appropriate measures in the fight against the virus.
