BENAKUMA CHRISTIANS CELEBRATE PRIESTS RETURN TO PRESBYTERY AFTER YEARS OF DISPLACEMENT IN CONFLICT HIT ZONE By Mildred Ndum Wung Kum Christians of Saint Paul's Parish Benakuma have rendered thanks to God for the return of their priests to the parish House. The priests were forced to leave the presbytery in 2019 due to tensions and took refuge at the outskirts of the parish in Befang.  Their return has been celebrated as a sign of peace. More Fedei Donum Priests, More Learning institutions, transcends Church Growth By Mildred Ndum Wung Kum The communique on the transfer and appointment of priests for the year 2022/2023 not only features those called to functions in parishes but also it features newly created institutions. There is  the Our Lady of Fatima College Bamendankwe, the Saint Jude's College Fundong and the Awa Verdzekov Bilingual Teachers Training College which are all new . It important to note that these learning institutions would go a long way to boost the teaching and learning sector especially at a time when there is a clamour for the  education of youngsters especially in the interior areas of the Archdiocese of Bamenda. The Awa Verdzekov Bilingual Teachers Training College which is among the newly created institutions of learning comes as a new outfit to train trainers. MBATU FON CROWNS JOE MUBANG WITH PEACE TITLE  Joseph Mubang was traditionally baptized with the title "The father of peace" by His Royal Highness Fon Tekou Simon Mugmah of Mbatu. The event on June 1st 2022 took place at their family residence in Bamenda, Cameroon.  J.Mubang hails from Mbatu by patrilineal descent. He was recognized by the Fon of Mbatu for heroic virtues in education, health, Christianity and sports among others. He is known to have established a mental health clinic in America with an annex in Bamenda, aided fellow countrymen of Mbatu, supported the Church and contributed in the promotion of education especially through the Saint Federick College.  The process to crown him with the title "Father of peace" was validated by a series of rituals.
