BAMENDA EPISCOPAL TRANSITION: NKEA TAKES CROSIER AS ESUA RETIRES BY MILDRED NDUM WUNG KUM Cornelius Fontem Esua passed possession of Bamenda Archdiocese to his successor. The sacred moment to induct Andrew Fuanya Nkea as third metropolitan of Bamenda Archdiocese ignited jubilation, leaving imprint on the archdiocese's history as the time of episcopal transition. The high point was presentation of the bull of appointment, the handing of the Crosier and the cathedra. This was witnessed by hundreds including bishops, priests, religious, consecrated men and women, civil, political and religious leaders who all turned out at the St Joseph Centenary Piazza, 22nd February 2020. BAMENDA ARCHDIOCESE ON COUNTDOWN TO INSTALL ARCHBISHOP NKEA BY MILDRED NDUM WUNG KUM His Grace Andrew Fuanya Nkea left Mamfe early on Thursday  20th February and made way into the Archdiocese of Bamenda about 10: 45am thesame day in warm glad tidings . He was accorded an honorary  reception from the precincts of  Widikum Deanery the gateway into the Archdiocese of  Bamenda from Mamfe. Together with a company of  church dignitaries, he travelled  through Batibo, Bali, Njengka, Nanga Junction and then Mankon where he arrived finally at the  St Joseph's Metropolitan Cathedral, the seat of Bamenda Archdiocese. KUMBO BISHOP SETS FEB 21 TO  PRAY FOR NGARBUH VICTIMS BY MILDRED NDUM WUNG KUM The Bishop of Kumbo Diocese His Lordship George Nkuo has set February 21 as a day of prayer for some twenty four Cameroonians attacked in the locality of Ngarbuh Ntumbaw in the wee hours of February 14th 2020. ARMOUR CAR VOTING ON ELECTIONS DAY IN ANGLOPHONE CAMEROON BY MILDRED NDUM WUNG KUM The process to determine a people’s representative on February 9th 2020 goes down annals of Cameroon history as a day to be remembered for “armour car voting” in the country’s northwest and southwest regions. The use of military cars became utmost to the helpless voting class who were faced with attacks and threats from people opposing the municipal and parliamentary election convened by Paul Biya. Election day in Bamenda was marked by scenes of lockdown, military cars in circulation, dead streets and goverment officials going to polls  under heavy cover of military artillery. The normal ambience often perceptible during an election was stripped as the activity was taking place against a strongly condemnable backdrop amidst distabilised security The twin elections were once more a stage for the four years old anglophone crisis to exhibit a manifestation of opposing views between Anglophones canvassing for an independent state against the will of the ruling CPDM government preaching a one and indivisible Cameroon. Just on the eve of elections, separatist fighters orchestrated a campaign to dismantle every effort towards the electorate.

MINISTER MBAYU FELIX MOBILIZES ELECTORATE VIA EXAMPLERY CIVIC RESPONSE BY MILDRED NDUM WUNG KUM The Minister Delegate of External Relations charged with operations with the Common Wealth Mbayu Felix has demonstrated that the polls play some predominant role in decision making.
