ELOQUENCE FACES OFF GRUDGES: BAMENDA 1 PEACE RIDE A SUCCESS BY MILDRED NDUM WUNG KUM The words of the Biblical proverbs "a gentle tongue breaks a bone" Prov 25:15 was the sole principle in the Bamenda one peace ride. A four man delegation for the peace caravan in that jurisdiction with Professor Fru Angwafo as regional team coordinator and Madam Caroline Bi Bongwa as coordinator for the Divisional team  used gentility to get across to the population. GOVERNOR ASSURES SECURITY FOR FESTIVITIES AND ELECTIONS  BY MILDRED NDUM WUNG KUM The Northwest  governor Adolph Lele Lafrique has said the security situation of the region would be stepped up for a serene festive and election period. He gave the assurance on 18th November 2019 after chairing a regional security meeting that brought together the Senior Divisional Officers and other security stakeholders of the region. ODDS & EMPITESS OF PEACE CARAVAN RUMINATE: STAKEHOLDERS BACKOUT, TAKE ILL, FEARS, PROXIMITY OF FEB ELECTIONS BY MILDRED NDUM WUNG KUM caravan members chew cud at planning meeting The initiative dubbed “peace caravan of the major national dialogue” aims to promote peace and present final proposals of the Grand National Dialogue to the layman. This is however the latest of Biya’s programmes facing wide criticisms. Following launching of the peace caravan of the major national dialogue in both English speaking regions of Cameroon on 16th November, the weight of opposition is domineering. It appears even activists craving for peace understand the lacklustre of the programme, given the absence of concrete and fathomable moves accompanying it. MENCHUM EMMISSARIES READY FOR PEACE CARAVAN BY MILDRED NDUM WUNG KUM Mr Akwa Patrick and team members are zealously looking forward to a peace mission in Menchum Division come November 19th 2019. This is in consonance with the move to promote peace and love and to explain recommendations of the major national dialogue to people in various divisions of the Northwest and Southwest regions. The chairman of the Peace Caravan for the Northwest region His Eminence Christian Cardinal Tumi launched a Caravan for Peace at the MINEPAT Conference Hall Bamenda on November 16th where it was disclosed that an eleven man team led by Mr Akwa Patrick would lead the caravan in Menchum. TUMI BECKONS DISPATCHED PEACE CARAVAN TO PREACH LOVE AMIDST TOUGH OBSTRUCTION  BY MILDRED NDUM WUNG KUM In the midst of blames and and crises, the government of Cameroon is determined to rebuild confidence. Even as results of the major national dialogue are pending, government is striving to restore an iota of peace at least by word of mouth. The prime minister and head of government Joseph Dion Ngute has put in place coordinators for a peace caravan in the English speaking regions of the country. It in this regard that   some com missioned groups would from Tuesday 19th November travel to divisions and subdivisions of the Northwest region to present to people of the grassroots, recommendations of the major national dialogue already tabled to Paul Biya. This is coming after a two day session on November 16th and 18th 2019 chaired by His Eminence Christian Cardinal Tumi, chairman of the Northwest regional caravan for peace. RuWCED TRAINS STAKEHOLDERS ON DANGERS OF UNSAFE ABORTION AND ABORTION RELATED ISSUES BY MILDRED NDUM WUNG KUM The NGO Rural Women Center for Education and Development RuWCED- Cameroon has in a seminar equipped health workers, peer educators, counsellors and religious leaders with knowledge on abortion including the national and international law regulating abortion,  the consequences of unsafe abortion and the right approach on post abortion care . PRESS BRIEFED ON FREE COMMUNITY OFFERS AT COMINSUD: HEALTH, JOB AND PSYCHE RELIEF  BY MILDRED NDUM WUNG KUM COMINSUD offers freely to the public a range of services to ease impacting costs borne by the Cameroon Anglophone crisis.  The NGO known as Community Initiative for Sustainable Development COMINSUD recently presented it's offers to the press in a session that was dubbed press launch; the aim to involve the media in sensitization of COMINSUD's activities.
