BY MILDRED NDUM WUNG KUM

The Minister Delegate of External Relations charged with operations with the Common Wealth Mbayu Felix has demonstrated that the polls play some predominant role in decision making.

He portrayed the gesture at the Cameroon February 9th, 2020 Municipal and Parliamentary Elections as he went to the polls casting votes.

His Excellency Mbayu Felix braved the tough security situation in Bamenda, Northwest region Cameroon as he presented himself at his polling station at GPS Old Town Bamenda. He footed the journey to his polling station through Ayaba street to GPS Old Town, a move which aroused many others to equally perform the Civic rights and responsibility of voting.

As he went to the polls, Mr Mbayu was accompanied by a good number of friends from the Bamenda Old Town Neighborhood where he spent a greater part of his youth. He also spurred many others to contribute in the democratic process through the ballot box by talking to people on the importance of elections.

Holding up his voter's card, he addressed the press in a mood of fulfilment  " I am particularly pleased to have accomplished my civic duty. I do this in good conscience and with a lot of conviction. This is the greatest weapon for peace and development. The greatest weapon to bring back normalcy because no other weapon is better than this. Every other weapon is a blind alley. I am pleased to see how many pet  have come out to vote this morning inspite of the prevailing circumstances, so I tell all of those who are partners for peace that we should stand behind those who preach peace that this is the true weapon we need and nothing else" he said

His beliefs in peace are coherent with the golden mean "do unto others what you would want them to do to you, do not do unto others what you won't want them do to you"
