Rapid ID Card Production with 500 Establishment Posts to take effect in Cameroon  By Mildred Ndum Wung Kum  The new process of producing a National Identity Card in Cameroon shall be instant, just like the production of passports which is a forty eight hour procedure.  Five hundred more production posts shall be created throughout the country for facilitation. COVID-19: RuWCED TAKES PROACTIVE STEPS IN NGOKETUNJIA  BY MILDRED NDUM WUNG KUM The Rural Women Center for Education and Development RuWCED, in its capacity to empower communities in the thirteen villages of Ngoketunjia Division, Northwest Region Cameroon invited community leaders and nurses for empowerment on managing and preventing COVID-19. LOOSE MEASURES CONFIRM RISING COVID19 DEATHS By Mildred Wung The Northwest Region counts 1403 positive cases, about150 deaths with March 2021 alone recording 37 deaths. The loose enforcement of barrier measures against COVID19 in the Northwest Region - Cameroon has been cited as the reason for rising cases. This was proven during an inspection tour by officials of the region led by the Governor - Adolph Lele Lafrique on March 24, 2021. When the inspection team went visiting ten different establishments many people were without face masks, there was scant respect for social distancing, buckets without water for handwashing and few hand sanitizers.
