NORTHWEST DELEGATE FOR NATIONAL SECURITY INSTALLED

Wilson Elung Njume incoming Northwest Delegate for National Security was installed in Bamenda by the Delegate General for National Security Martin Mbarga Nguelle March 23rd 2021. The ceremony took place at the explanade of Bamenda I Divisional Office.

The outgoing Delegate for National Security Gousmo Emile was commended by Bamenda City Mayor -Paul Achobang Tambeng for having been relentless in the maintenance of public order, peace and security for nine years in the Northwest Region. He leaves to a new duty in Yaounde as Director of Finance Computer Management and Logistics. 

Equally, Mr Elung Wilson was assured by the Mayor of the populations collaboration. He was also tasked to ensure public order in the socio political crisis stricken region. 

"the police are not magicians. The partnership with the population is very important, without which we are not going to succeed" the newly installed delegate told Cameroon Infotrend

With a prevailing socio political crisis in the Northwest Region, he has the task to restore peace and security in a region notorious for kidnappings, human killing, vandalism and explosions.

JOURNALISTS POISED TO ENGAGE IN PEACE PROCESS THANKS TO CHAMECC BY MILDREN NDUM WUNG KUM Peace journalism has to do with coverage and report of conflict issues without bias and none violent response to conflict for crisis resolution. The news media in the Northwest region is expected to engage in the journalism profession with an extra zeal to promote justice and peace.
